FA Cup - Liverpool scrape past Preston

Midway through the first half, Spaniard Riera curled a superb left-foot shot in to the top left corner after the hosts failed to clear a Xabi Alonso free-kick.
It was a spectacular goal worthy of winning any match, but Liverpool’s failure to convert their easier chances almost allowed Preston to grab an equaliser.
